About Kimera
What is a chimera?
Different strengths, shared purpose
The name Kimera comes from the word chimera: different parts forming one creature that can do more than each constituent part could do on its own. For us at Kimera, it means putting technology to work with the help of AI, toward goals that give people more capacity, keep responsibility clear, and return time to their lives.

AI works best when it keeps people in charge of the important decisions.
Automate the repeatable so people have more time to focus on important decisions. At Kimera, we move repetitive tasks out of the way so people can give their work the attention it needs and take responsibility for decisions with lasting consequences.
Going forward is the only direction of time travel we have.
Let's work hard today to save ourselves a little time tomorrow.

How we work
Human-led. AI-powered. Built on accountability.
The Kimera workshops bring together talent, hands-on experience, the responsible use of technology, intellectual humility, and practical approaches to solving problems. We use AI as a force multiplier to expand what we can accomplish, while keeping people responsible for the decisions that matter.
Our aim is to return time to your life, so you can spend more of it with who and what matter most.
Making room for what matters
Research
Research explores new possibilities and challenges assumptions. What we learn shapes better products and services; work in practice gives us new questions to investigate.
AI helps us review existing work, find connections, and explore alternative explanations. It supports the design and analysis of experiments, while people verify the evidence and judge what the findings mean.
People decide which questions matter, design experiments, and challenge assumptions. We interpret evidence in context, acknowledge uncertainty, and take responsibility for what we conclude.
People + AI
at both stages
Value in practice
Useful products and advisory work create value for the people who use them. The revenue they generate supports our people, tools, and continued research.
AI helps turn ideas into working solutions by supporting development, analysis, and repeatable tasks. People test and oversee its work so the result saves time and serves a real need.
People identify practical needs, set priorities, and judge whether a solution is useful. We guide delivery, build relationships, and remain accountable for the outcomes.
Kimera's chimera: People and AI produce the work together, helping each other do more together. Research efforts and value generation should feed each other, creating sustainable environments for continued innovation.
About our founder

Our founder combines hands-on technical experience with strengths in management, leadership, and executive communication capabilities. His 20-year career started with night-shift help desk support at a nationwide staffing firm and has grown to roles like senior technology leadership at a publicly traded and regulated financial institution. That breadth helps him connect technical decisions with the needs of the people and organizations they affect.
Most recently, his service as the SVP and Director of Information Technology at Northeast Bank, he developed and led a team of talented engineers and analysts as the bank grew from $900 million to $5.23 billion in assets. Through his ten years at the bank, he was responsible for infrastructure, applications, security, data, automation, and team leadership. His background in hands-on technical work and leadership helped him connect technology decisions with the needs of the business. while learning from experienced leaders throughout his time there.
Today, he brings all of his experiences to Kimera Workshops: developing AI-enhanced products and services, identifying opportunities that generate value, and advising organizations and leaders on topics like how to leverage new technologies like AI effectively.
At Kimera, our aim is simple: people and AI building something better together. Justin and the team share a priority: using technology to improve people’s lives. He has seen new technologies benefit those who need them least, while those who could benefit most miss out. He wants to change that.
The teams at Kimera are working to give everyone a little time back each day, so they can spend more of it on what matters most to them.
