What we explore
We explore what people and different technologies can do together, where those combinations fall short, and what new possibilities they could create when their strengths are combined.
Applied research
Turning questions into evidence
We investigate the limits of today’s technology and test new ways to move beyond them. Through applied research and engineering, we put technical ideas to the test by building experiments, examining the results, and letting evidence guide what comes next.
Each experiment helps us see more clearly where an idea could lead and whether it is worth pursuing.
The workshops require intellectual humility. To us, this means being open to the possibility that we are wrong, being able to falsify our claims rigorously, admitting when we've made mistakes, and never taking ourselves too seriously.
We focus on solving real-world problems while staying open to new things and new ideas.
We’re explicit about assumptions and limits, and show where confidence is high or still developing.
We explore what people and different technologies can do together, where those combinations fall short, and what new possibilities they could create when their strengths are combined.
Research helps us understand what’s possible and what gets in the way. Finding out why an idea doesn’t work can be just as useful as finding one that does. Then we try to prove ourselves wrong.

How we do things at the workshops
01
Question
Define what we want to learn, what we’re assuming, and what evidence would challenge those assumptions.
02
Test
Build an experiment to test the idea, run it, compare results, and try to prove the idea wrong.
03
Evaluate
Review the result and what it tells us, learn what it doesn’t tell us, and what we still don’t know.
04
Refine
Use what we learn to ask better questions, test again, or decide whether to take a different approach.
